Annual Meeting 2022 - Singapore

Results of Fourth Quarter - 2020 We reported our results for the first three months of 2020 Business operating profit down 11 percent from the prior year, and net income attributable to shareholders was down 9 percent from the prior year. More information on our strategic progress and priorities will be made available at the final investors meet shortly, when we will update shareholders and analysts. Even though Dubai is a potential market for Logistics, current regional expenses and its related inflation have limited us to achieve the growth that we projected during the start of 2021. With such limited results for the first quarter, we are prepared to face more challenging years ahead us. To meet our goals and objectives for 2021, we need to continue to focus on our strategic priorities, with a particular focus on improving operational efficiency and effectiveness. While there is still much work to be done, we are moving forward with our strategy for 2018 to 2021, delivering on every key sectors. This is truly a positive result for this Financial year. Ahead of the Expo 2020, our main focus is to grow our operating earnings. We are pleased to announce that we have completed much of our ground work and executed our strategy in terms of filtering key segments of this growing Gulf market and taking out unnecessary costs which attributed to less profits for the Financial year, 2020. We are seeing some good progress with turning around or exiting under-performing businesses. |

Every five years and for a period of six months, World Expos attract millions of visitors. The World Expo has never been held in the Middle East, Africa and South East Asia in the history of the event. In November 2013, the United Arab Emirates won the right to host the World Expo in Dubai in 2020. Dubai Expo 2020 is expected to attract 25 million visitors, 70 per cent of which will be from overseas. This will be the first Expo in which the majority of visitors stem from beyond a nation’s borders. Running from 20 October 2020 through 10 April 2021, the Expo will launch the country’s Golden Jubilee celebration and serve as a springboard from which to inaugurate a progressive and sustainable vision for the coming decades.

Logistics in Dubai
Dubai is a major shipping hub, and it is estimated that, approximately 80% of cargo that moves on the Middle East-Asia Trade has gone through the ports of Dubai. In general the region imports all necessary goods from rest of the world and the containerized exports include resin derivatives, aluminum and petroleum bi-products. The region facilitates tax free trading activities wherein cargo is re-exported to Europe, Africa and CIS, etc.
